Is Cinderella's Royal Table Really Worth It?
Cinderella's Royal Table is one of the most popular restaurants in Disney World. Although it's an exceptional dining location, it can be a bit pricy and hard to get into. So, many guests want to know.... "Is it worth my time and money"?
Well, although it isn't a hard question to answer, it isn't exactly easy either. In order for you to determine whether or not this restaurant is worth your money, let's take a look at the pros and cons...
Ambiance - Cinderella's Royal table has an elegant feel to it. There are soaring ceilings, warm trim and an awesome view of Fantasyland. No doubt about it, you will definitely feel like royalty here.
Photos - Included with the price of your meal is a photo package. A souvenir picture will be taken of your party in the restaurant lobby. The photo packet consists of four 4x6 prints, one 6x8 photo and one 6x8 photo of the castle, presented in a Cinderella themed folder. Parties of 1-6 get one photo packet, parties of 7-11 get two photo packets, parties of 12-15 get three photo packets and parties of 16 or more get six photo packages.
Characters - Cinderella and friends happily meet and greet with you as you dine like a king or queen. All the characters make sure that you get the best treatment throughout your dining experience.
Food - There's a nice selection of menu items that you have to choose from. Breakfast is an all-you-care-to-eat while lunch and dinner is fixed price. Menu items include sandwiches, pan-seared salmon, BLT's and more!
Crowds - Because Cinderella's Royal Table is so popular, at times it can and will get busy. The more guests there are, the more likely that the service will move a bit slower. I've never experienced Cinderella's Royal Table at its down time and not so sure if they've even had a down time before. Everyone wants to dine here, so just take into consideration the amount of traffic you'll have to deal with.
Character Change - The characters are subject to change at anytime. This means that you are not guaranteed to see Cinderella. So because you have to pay in advance to dine at this restaurant, if you arrive and there's no Cinderella, then you've taken a loss. However, I don't think you have much to worry about on this. The many times I've been there, Cinderella has always showed.
Fairy Godmother Only - If you decide to dine during dinner, only the Fairy Godmother will be available. Dinner time at Cinderella's Royal Table is less of a character dining experience and that's why Cinderella is not available. Again, Cinderella's Royal Table is very popular, so if a guest isn't able to get breakfast or lunch with the princess, then they are going to want dinner. Basically guests will take whatever they can get into in order to see the princess. Because Cinderella is not offered during dinner, guests are at a disadvantage. Keep this in mind when booking your reservations.
Now that you know the pros and cons to dining at Cinderella's Royal Table, you can determine whether or not it's worth your time and money. In my opinion... it's definitely worth it.

Can You Eat Fast Food on a Gluten Free Diet? Can You Eat Fast Food on a Gluten Free Diet?
Can you eat fast food while on a gluten free diet? This is a question many people have when trying to decide what they can and cannot eat safely. While obvious things such as hamburgers may no longer be on the menu, there are still things you can eat at different fast food places. Knowing what you can and can't eat while out and about can be very helpful if you didn't bring your own snacks or are traveling.
Here are some tips on deciding what you can eat in a fast food setting:
Consider the Kitchen: Restaurants prepare many different foods, often all within the same area. It's important to think about how foods may be made or handled that could potentially cause problems regarding cross contact with foods that may have gluten containing ingredients. For example, Subway restaurants prepare everything on a line, and knifes, gloves, and serving utensils are likely to touch the bread and result in crumbs all through everything. Other restaurants however may be safer, keeping things such as fruits and veggies far away from bread products.
Look for Restaurants the Offer Gluten Free Menus: Many restaurants have made special accommodations for those who are on a diet without wheat and have specially marked foods. For example, Hardies has a special menu for those who cannot eat various things due to allergies.
Visit Websites: When planning a trip, consider checking out different restaurants and see what they may offer. Some companies are very proactive and have all the foods you can safely eat listed to help you decide what may be suitable.
Always Tell the Person About Your Intolerance: When you are ordering your meal, it is very important to tell the person taking your order about your intolerance to reduce cross contact risks. Don't assume they will know what "gluten" means, but instead tell them you allergic to wheat and anything that contains or touches wheat, and they should be able to make special accommodations for you.
If in Doubt, Go Somewhere Else: If you are going out to eat and not sure if you can eat somewhere without being sick, it is better to be safe than sorry. Often times if one choice is not suitable you can find a better alternative with more things you can choose from.
Just because you are on a special diet, it doesn't mean you have to avoid fast food chains or eating out. With a little bit of planning and research, you'll be able to know where you can grab a quick bite to eat without worrying about your health or safety.

All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Restaurants
All-you-can-eat buffet restaurants are the perfect choice for hearty eaters and people who like to try different dishes (or people who just feel exceptionally hungry from time to time). They are also attractive to people who don't like their meals too formal. Another advantage is that food is always ready, so one doesn't have to wait and can see how dishes look like before making a decision. That is why these restaurants are perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
The idea of large numbers of people taking food from a common table was known to Ancient and Medieval civilizations. The modern buffet first appeared in France in the 17th century and was later popularized in Europe by Napoleon Bonaparte, who preferred less formal receptions. The concept of the buffet came to the U.S. with British settlers and the first American all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant was opened in Minneapolis in the 1930s.
Nowadays, all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants are very popular in the U.S. You can chose among various cuisines including Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, and many more. At first, all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants offered cheap food for little money. Now you can also find upscale buffets. It is a good idea to visit such restaurant if you are not familiar with a particular cuisine and would like to give it a try, as you can sample a wide variety of dishes. If you pick something that turns out not to be appealing to you, you can always change to something different.
